Celebrates its 15th Founding Anniversary
The National Conciliation and
Mediation Board (NCMB) celebrated its 15th founding anniversary on
January 6, 2003. Held at the Seamen’s Center,

He urged the Board to continue to promote its three programs on
conciliation-mediation, labor-management cooperation, and voluntary arbitration
and grievance machinery. He shared his
time-tested formula in customer service with an acronym of BILISAN*.
The Board awarded plaques of appreciation to private
companies, institutions and individuals in the labor, management and government
sectors, and the academe nationwide who have made outstanding contributions in
the promotion and implementation of its programs for the last fifteen
years.
The Board’s conduct of the year-end
performance assessment also coincided with the celebration of the
anniversary. The regional directors
together with the Central Office officials reviewed its 2002 performance and
planned its activities to meet its targets for the year 2003.
Prior to the celebration a slogan
writing contest was launched and a winner was awarded on January 6. “NCMB: 15 Taong Paninilbihan Sa
Sambayanan Tungo Sa Mapayapang Pagawaan” was chosen from among the fifty-two (52) entries
submitted.
