The lawyer-voluntary arbitrators who will participate in the activity are fortunate to have two privileges in one activity: 1) Compliance to their commitment as voluntary arbitrators and 2) Compliance to the MCLE requirements in ADR (5 cu), Substantive and Procedural Laws and Jurisprudence (2 cu), Legal Writing and Oral Advocacy (4 cu). Moreover, only a minimal fee of P1,000 will be assessed to cover food expenses.
The non-lawyer arbitrator-participants are equally fortunate to join the league of practitioners and share the brilliance and competence of the distinguished speakers who are experts in their respective fields. Former Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma will discuss the dynamics of conciliation-mediation and how it can help the arbitrators in resolving the labor disputes submitted to them for resolution. Associate Justice of Court of Appeals, the Honorable Vicente Veloso will share his expertise in decision-writing as well as his knowledge in other related issues on jurisdiction. NCMB Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac and PAVA President Francis Sobreviñas, who are both prominent professorial lecturers, will discuss ADR and selected jurisprudence on labor law and welfare legislation, respectively.
