The seminars were carried out through the use of a designed module intended for the promotion of the LMC and voluntary arbitration programs. In order to accomplish the objectives of the seminar, the technical staff of the region took turns in discussing the concept of LMC particularly its structure and the laying down of ground rules. As regards voluntary arbitration, grievance handling procedure and grievance settlement were discussed. In the course of the discussions, the formulated LMC structures of the participating companies were presented as well as the ground rules.
The seminars conducted were thriving as far as the objective of NCMB RB XI is concerned. This was manifested by the impressions given by the participants when they have collectively stated that, “What they have heard and learned from the topics discussed are accordingly, all boils down for the mutual benefits of all stakeholders in the workplace that would practically contribute in the maintenance of industrial peace and harmony”.
