NCMB ties up with Rural Bankers for Management Ed on ADR

The National Conciliation and Mediation Board, in collaboration with the Banking Industry Tripartite Council (BITC), offers its management education services to rural banks.  In the initial meeting on July 27, 2006, Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) president Atty. Francis S. Ganzon, management consultant Emmanuel B. Guina, NCMB Director Shirley M. Pascual and ConMed Mayo Minoria outlined the objectives of the BITC, and Department’s advocacy for alternative dispute resolution, or ADR approaches.

The BITC, under the chairmanship of then Undersecretary for Labor Relations, Usec Manuel G. Imson, held series of seminars on ADR in 2005 in NCR, Cebu and Davao with HR managers from bank members of the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP), and union leaders in organized banks as trainees-participants.  Sustaining this initiative through DOLE management education services, the BITC will conduct similar seminars in northern Luzon and Bacolod in September and October this year for the rural bank members of RBAP and thrift banks as well.  RBAP agreed to conduct said seminars starting with the owners and managers of their members.
