New Maybank Philippines, Inc. Employees Union-NATU Officers Inducted

            The newly elected officers of Maybank Philippines, Inc. were inducted by NCMB Director Shirley M. Pascual on October 06, 2006.  During the induction, Senior Vice-President Lee Tien Poh of Maybank Phils., Inc., stated that together with the CEO and Pres. Amos Ong Seet Joon, they congratulate the new officers.  According to him, management reiterates their willingness to cooperate with the union to sustain harmony in Maybank.

 

Maybank is a Malaysian bank, which started in the Philippines in 1997. Since then, it had only two labor issues reported and for the last five years, it had no reported labor case.  Maybank gradually expanded to 45 branches all over the Philippines with 790 employees, 392 of its rank and file are members of the Maybank Philippines, Inc. Employees Union, an affiliate of the National Association of Trade Union (NATU).

 

            Furthermore, Mesdames Rachel E. Angeles, Ma. Yolanda P. Miņoria and Sandi G. Carlota-Comla of NCMB-Labor Management Cooperation Division witnessed the simple and meaningful induction rites of the new set of officers headed by Mr. Reginald Ricohermoso, who is also the NATU representative in the Banking Industry Tripartite Council (BITC).
