NCMB CELEBRATES WOMEN’S MONTH
The National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) joins the nation in celebrating this year’s Women’s Month as the country gives recognition to the theme of the 52nd session of the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women, “Financing for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women”.
This year‘s celebration focuses on the need to generate resources to finance equality and women’s empowerment programs both at the national and local levels.
It also serves as a channel to promote the use of gender and development (GAD) budget to finance equality and women’s empowerment programs both at the national and local levels.
The Board has lined up various activities during the month–long celebration.
In
support of the nationwide celebration, the Board displayed a streamer bearing
this year’s theme “CEDAW NG BAYAN: YAMAN NG KABABAIHAN”.
NCMB employees are also instructed to wear lilac-colored t-shirts every Monday throughout the month.
On
CO, NCR and RBIV-A employees were also treated to a film showing on March 14.
The Thank God It’s Forum for Women (TGIF) scheduled on 28 March 2008 rounds up the Board’s Women’s Month activities.
