Who are the Accredited Voluntary Arbitrators?
The list of accredited voluntary arbitrators of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board available for appointment consists of persons engaged in full time work as employees and officials in the government. educational, civic and religious institutions, trade union organizations and private enterprises. They are either members of the Philippine Association on Voluntary Arbitration, Inc. (PAVA) or individual applicants who meet the following minimum criteria for accreditation:
Minimum Qualifications
1. Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines
2. Holder of a Bachelor’s degree
3. Has at least five (5) years experience In labor-management relations
4. Has no pending criminal case involving moral turpitude.
Documentary Requirements
1. Application letter/letter of intent
2. Updated bio-data
3. Diploma; Certificate of Graduation; License if Board Professionals (photocopy only)
4. Certificate of Employment, if applicable
Affidavit stating that applicant has no pending criminal case involving moral turpitude

Training Requirements
Applicants who possess the minimum qualifications will be required to undergo a pre-accreditation training program to equip him with the basic knowledge, skills and value orientation necessary to perform the responsibilities and function of a voluntary arbitrator
Entry of Name in the Roll of Accredited Voluntary Arbitrators
Upon satisfactory completion of the training, Certificate of Accreditation is issued and thereafter formally take oath.
Once accredited, the voluntary arbitrator can serve in any region, however, for purposes of administrative supervision, the arbitrator shall be enrolled in the list of arbitrators in the region where they are accredited.
Renewal of Accreditation
The NCMB will send notice regarding the renewal of accreditation (before the lapse of the 5th year of accreditation) and will require submission of updated bio-data and affidavit of no pending criminal case followed by a review of performance as voluntary arbitrator. Then the NCMB will decide whether or not to issue a renewal certificate.
